Andy Zaltzman was born in obscurity in 1974. He has been a sporadically-acclaimed stand-up comedian since 1999, and has appeared regularly on BBC Radio 4. He is currently one half of TimesOnline’s hit satirical podcast The Bugle, alongside John Oliver (The Daily Show with John Stewart). He also writes for The Times newspaper, and is the author of Does Anything Eat Bankers? (And 53 Other Indispensable Questions For The Credit Crunched).
Zaltzman’s love of cricket outshone his aptitude for the game by a humiliating margin. He once scored 6 in 75 minutes in an Under-15 match, and failed to hit a six between the ages of 9 and 23. He would have been ideally suited to Tests, had not a congenital defect left him unable to play the game to anything above genuine village standard. Aged 21, when fielding at deep midwicket, he dropped the same batsman three times in fifteen minutes, and has not been selected by England before or since

Who's more entertaining, Sehwag or Prince?
In the coruscating fifth episode of Andy Zaltzman’s World Cricket Podcast: ball-eating, mystery deliveries, why Andrew Strauss just had to sit out, an interview with Australian comedian Justin Hamilton, a fiendishly difficult cricket game, a run-down of the great two-Test series in history, and, of course, more lies about cricketers. definitely its sehwag............................... no other can entertain likee sehwag,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Posted by: Mohit Zutshi on 02/04/2010
Sehwag is by far the clear winner. Scoring more then run a ball tripple hundred against sri lanka, And mind you it was test match not a one day international. He"s by far the most entertaining batsman in international cricket now a days. Prince is not even a regualar member of southafrica one day or test side. I dont think there can be any comparisan between him and prince. Sehwag is a night mare for any bowler. hes peoples favourite when it comes to entertainment. True entertainer..

Sehwag Will be the Entertainer In Both Tests
Posted by: bogesh on 02/04/2010
none can entertain better than sehwag
Posted by: sisitha on 02/04/2010
your awesome! keep it up
Posted by: Rajesh Gupta on 02/04/2010
Sehwag is more entertaining. Can always expect the most unexpected from him. Sehwag can destroy a bowler's self respect on his day. Demoralizes the opponent, with his ability to hit fours and sixes even on teh best of deliveries.
Posted by: Sid Murao on 02/04/2010
Hands down Sehwag!!! His strokes have a sense of ease and comfort .
Posted by: Kundan Kumar on 02/04/2010
NO matching between two.
Sehwag is the in the world for intertaining.
I think Sehwag is best player in the test match as a
opner.
Posted by: saugat on 02/04/2010
Obviously, Sehwag is more destructive players.. Sehwag is a player who should be compared with Bradman not with prince..
Posted by: vivek singh on 02/04/2010
sehwag is more entertaining because of his ability to hit the ball with power when he wants and can play long innings at a fast rate.
Posted by: mac on 02/04/2010
sehwag is entertainer..

Love it! Possibly the best cricket podcast I've heard! Keep it coming mate!!!!! This should be on the homepage....
Posted by: Vineet on 02/04/2010
I feel Sehwag is the man who can change the game in a session or two but prince is a stable but not an agressive batsman. Sehwag is likely to sc ore more runs and entertain more as he has home advantage and he is an in form batsman. Price has not been in the best of the forms.
For me. Sehwag is gonna be more successful outcome than price in this series.
He could only be compared with Gibbs or Smith

Who is Prince? Are you comparing with any prince from a respected kingdom by any chance? Don't compare two people at different levels for god's sake please!
Posted by: rajesh kumar on 02/05/2010
my opinion is sehwag he is good entertainer as much now coming series he will be show some good technical shots with good entertainment for the viewers around the world especially sehwah fan's he wont cheat i think so, he bats good in test, t20, ipl as well in odi in all the match he plays well making everybody to keen on his playing, everybody will think what will be the next shot of him, but sometimes he is getting out unnecessarily but this time he will give extra ordinary shots with good entertainment...........jai hind

There cannot be more annoying discussion than this, if we try to compare Sehwag with Prince. The Najjafagarh ka nawab stands tall and high well over any of the south African batsmen except Kallis. I don't really understand how can a comparison made between two persons, one who has been entertaining since a decade and other just started his career 2 or 3 years earlier. No way, no comparison between them, undoubtedly Sehwag is the person, he is the god, he is person after sachin tendulkar for India in cricket. Look at sehwag as an ambassador of cricket a game thinker, game guide, game encyclopedia of cricket. Price is learning the pronunciations and spellings in cricket. No comparison can be made between them.

who else mite its indian don sehwag
Posted by: venkat on 02/05/2010
Shewag is the best player in this modern cricket. he his giving to life to test cricket.
Posted by: krishna on 02/05/2010
Sehwag is easily the better batsman than prince.Prince as not done much in any of the three forms of international cricket whereas sehwag is a proven player at the top level.Comparing these two is something like saying that our new flyover in mumbai is longer than the great wall of china.
Posted by: ha hawat a jk on 02/05/2010
ha ha , whose more "entertaning"= sehwag, by far acutally. Prince chips away at you without you noticing it but sehwag, he's no chipper, he's a sweet timer of the 156 leather. You have to earn Princ's wicket, Sehwag makes you pay for his wicket, thats the diffrence.
Posted by: Subbu on 02/05/2010
What a question this is? Viru is the best in modern cricket....
Posted by: Rasif on 02/05/2010
More funnier reading the comments.
Posted by: KRSK on 02/05/2010
If we compare Sehwag with Prince of Trinidad, it would yield some positive results..... Sehwag is far better than Prince(SA), comparison is not having any meaning......
Posted by: Usman Moorad on 02/06/2010
Are people not taking your sarcasm seriously? Prince is obviously more entertaining
Posted by: usman Ahmed on 02/06/2010
Prince is better, hands down! :P
Posted by: Sriram on 02/07/2010
Awesome Andy! Keep it up... Satire at its best...
"Although if his eating is like his wicketkeeping, he'll need a bib" - had me in splits...
Posted by: hattrick on 02/07/2010
Andy, it should now be patently obvious that satire is getting you nowhere. Time for an article that is devoid of humour, irony, sardony, satire and anything backhanded. A Christopher Martin-Jenkins-esque article might be just the ticket.
Posted by: keith on 02/10/2010
Max needs a reversal of his humourectomy. But as he is obviously a better judge of what is funny than the majority of stall aficionados, I suggest that he compose something to compete with Andy. We can then have a poll and the loser has to eat Dwayne Leverock's jockstrap. That at least we would all find funny. Those who have actually answered the question of the title need to look up the word sarcasm in the dictionary.
Posted by: Jonesy on 02/14/2010
prince hands down.
