Nepal announce Under-19 squad for World Cup
Nepal have announced a 15-man squad for next month's Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia. Roy Luke Dias, the coach, will be assisted by Jagat Tamata (assistant coach) and Tarakmani Dixit as the team manager.
Squad
Paras Khadka (capt), Gyanendra Malla (vice-captain), Mahesh Kumar Chhetri, Raj Shrestha, Amrit Bhatterai, Avay Rana, Aakash Kumar Gupta, Sagar Khadka, Antim Thapa, Rom Shrestha, Chandra Saud, Rahul Kumar BK, Anil Kumar Mandal, Pushpa Thapa and Subash Pradhan (reserves: Sunam Gautam, Santosh Baral and Nirmal Simangaida)
I can bet, 9 out of 10 are over 19 . Or rather I would say 19 yrs and 72 months:p
Of course! I think nepal is better in that case. In other countries all of them are more than 19 and in most non-test playing nations players are not from the nation. They are mostly imported from others. This is not happening in nepal. So proud to see the real nepalese doing so well against those imported...
What’s the ICC doing, if a cricket follower is so sure as to bet that 90 percent of the cricketers in the Nepal squad for the Under-19 World Cup 2008 are “19 yrs and 72 months” old? Too busy sleeping under the mounting quilt of the monkey-panky Harbhajan-Symonds racial slur issue and the fluffy blanket of Benson-Bucknor umpiring theory?
Is the apex body of world cricket not supposed to be the biggest cricket follower?
Best wishes to Nepalese team. They have many times defeated cricket power such as South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kenya etc in world cup (Under 19 yrs). This time, the turn is for Australia. We are hopeful on that nepal will beat Australia, India and others and creat history.
Best of luck for Nepalese cricket team.
I would like to see Nepal winning the Under 19 world cup as it already win Asian Cup. Its early to say that Nepal will win but i hope to see some best performance from Nepalese side.
Best of Luck Nepal
