Swamibapa win Nairobi sixes
Swamibapa Cricket Club won Nairobi’s three-day six-a-side cricket tournament by beating Kanbis Sports Club in the final. Kanbis batted first and made 52 for 3, and although Swamibaba also scored 52, they were adjudged winners as they had only lost two wickets. Steve Tikolo was the top scorer for Swamibapa with 17.
In the losers’ plate competition, Sir Ali Sports Club A beat Sir Ali Sports Club B Team.
The tournament, which attracted 27 teams from Nairobi Province, was organised by Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj under the banner of Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association. It was sponsored by Tile and Carpet Centre Limited and co-sponsored by Crown-Berger Kenya Limited.

Cricket in Nairobi is not good enough. The game must spread. Top teams from India, Pakistan, South Africa and England played in cities like Kisumu, Nakuru and Nyeri from 1950's to 1990's until it all died out. Some of the grounds still exist and with a little bit of help can be brought back
Here are some of the venues in kenya that can be used for the national league.
All these venues were used for cricket in the past or are being constructed for the future
Centrals- Kerugoya Cricket Club Ground, Nyeri cricket ground
C.C.A- Jaffery Sports Club Ground, Mombasa Sports Club Ground
Nyanza province- Kisumu Coronation Sports Ground
N.C.P.A.- Nairobi Gymkhana Club Ground, Ruaraka Sports Club Ground ,
[In the pipeline is a venue at Moi International Sports Centre complex {with lights}]
R.V.C.A- Eldoret Cricket club, Rift Valley Sports Club
School and club level cricket must be brought back thats the way to go back. The provinces must play each other often.
