China cause concern in below-par tournament

Oman and Thailand retained their unbeaten records with emphatic wins over Myanmar and China on the fourth day of the Asian Cricket Council Trophy Challenge in Chiang Mai, Thailand, but the standard of the teams continued to cause concern.

Both China and Myanmar are clearly not ready to participate in a senior tournament of such level at this stage especially as most of their players are still youngsters? The ACC should possibly have 3 divisions with 6-7 countries in each? That would be fairer especially for the bottom tiered teams. Time will tell though those who are seeing China as a money maker should get a part time job in the meantime!!
