If singapore cricket is to improve, then we need some real infrastructure. Proper grounds to play on would be a start! The Singapore cricket club is basically just a social club for rich people who dont even know what a wicket is!

First of all, Indian team was coached by Greg Chappell and not Trevor Chappell. Secondly, there is an extraordinary difference in the relative skill levels of the two teams. Anyone on the Indian team is an outstanding talent who needs just a little honing. It was not so much of what Chappell said or did technically that was the problem but his man management skills that created the mess in India. When you need to improve your basic technique and fitness etc. these top professionals have amazing insights that teams like Singapore can benefit immensely from. But while Greg Chappell is not gonna be able to teach a Sachin Tendulkar on his batting techniques or alter Harbhajan's release of the doosra, he can make enormous difference to the techniques of the local batsmen. And I mean enormous. It is up to the local batsmen and bowlers to absorb as much as they can from such a great player and help Singapore's chances going forward.
