MCC whitewash Japan

A strong MCC side completed their tour of Japan with wins in all four matches. They beat Sano CC, a Japanese Development XI and the national side in Twenty20 games, and rounded things off with a tight two-wicket defeat of Japan in a 50-over match.

Japan had every chance to win the limited-overs game after reducing MCC to 60 for 6 chasing 137 but a seventh-wicket stand between Gary Brown (46*) and Guy Bulpitt (26) enabled the tourists to sneak home.

The MCC squad completes the trip with games in Indonesia.

Why doesn't MCC play against more competitive sides like PNG, HongKong, Oman etc.

Its is good for cricket in Japan that MCC comes and play cricket to understand improvement needs to be done where there is very little international exposure. 80% cricket playing teams are from Ex-pats. Natives and ex-pats needs to mix well to improve standard rather putting comments on cricinfo. less knowledge and big ego is main reason due to which cricket development is hindered.

Japan is expensive place to live and play cricket.
to reach to any ground or play atlesat one match one need to pay min 5000yen+umpire fees etcetc.

There Are good clubs in Japan where cricket level is good.
slowly but steadly cricket is Improving in Japan.
