We deserve to be in Division Four - Cush

Lennox Cush

Jersey played well to start with and their captain Ryan Driver made good inroads, but I don’t think they ever really threatened us, despite their potent bowling.

Carl played very well today, he went in at a time when things weren’t going well and I think him and Aditya were really good today and credit goes to both of them for the runs they scored.

I think the earlier bowlers made it easier for me, Daniram and Darlington in particular, they set the tone and pushed the Jersey side back so that I could take the wickets. When I came out they needed to score at six runs an over which made it easier for me – I felt mentally I was more ready to take the wickets.

The University ground has by far the best outfield of all three grounds so it’s been good to play there and if we make it to the final that’s where we’ll be playing and in front of Nepal’s national TV station which has been broadcasting all the matches live from that ground.

Tomorrow we face Singapore, which is a really important game for us because if we win it, it means we’re guaranteed a place in Division 4 this summer in Italy – which is somewhere I feel we rightfully deserve to be. Once we’ve completed tomorrow then we can focus on winning the finals and taking home the Division 5 title.

I am looking forward to a rest this evening so that I’m fully prepared for tomorrow – I might even go and get a massage to help me get a good night’s rest.

Sorry Mr.Cush, taking the title will just be your dream as we the great gorkhalis(Nepal) will be intitled that. You will be promoted to divison 4 as runnerup though. Can't wait to see you torn apart infron of my eyes on TU ground. Lets meet tomorrow..

Nobody is entitled to anything. It must be earned. Let's see who plays the better cricket on the day.

@subodh,

I am from Nepal too but i see little bit of unjustified optimism in your statement. I think US are firm favourite to win the league and even to beat Nepal. After all US are the team who have played international one day cricket to even the current test playing teams.

However,there is one thing that will be against USA. Since the match will be in Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, I expect a packed partisian crowd of over 15000. I don't think Lennox and his team have played in such a big crowd regularly. If we can capitalise our home and crowd advantage we can create an upset.

I will be eagerly looking for another article from Lennox about this match on 26th of Feb. Nepalese from all over the world are keeping an eye on this match. Hope both Nepal and USA qualifies for division 4.

i agree with mr subodh nepal is more powerful than usa i think usa have some quality batting line but nepal has bowlling and feilding so cricket is a interesting game but our player are more strenght than usa

NEpal is far more stronger than any other team in home ground so for tomorrows match usa will be packed in less than 150 n nepal will win by 6 wicket

The game is going to be tough on Friday. Both the teams will give each other a tough fight. But Nepal will be favorites. Their setback, the batting is slowly coming into form and bowling never to mention the best in the tournamnet.Tomorows match will be low scoring match. And Nepal will win. The spinners will take all the ten wickets...
