Do you really think Dhoni deserved the "Man of the match" award? With a comparision there are a few better contributions - Gambhir (67 and 104), Ganguly (An important ond the only 100 in the 1st innings), Amit Mishra (to debut with 5-71 in the 1st innings and 2-35 in the 2nd), Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan (with each getting 3 important wickets in the 2nd innings) and Tendulkar (for his 88 in the 1st innings).
These are a few important scores that turned the match around and may not have been considered! Without Amits balling in the 1st innings, the huge Australian Trail wouldn't have been possible and without that of Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh in the 2nd Australian Innings.
Captaincy has to be obvious for such a great win but the contributions of Amit Mishra and Gautam Gambhir were equally and out performed when compared to that of Dhoni's performance!
Amit Mishra certainly deserved a reward for the outstanding performance in the debut match!
PLEASE NOTE!

Amit Mishra surely did enough to push for "Man of the Match " as he must have been under pressure simply because he was filling the shoes of Anil Kumble (600+ wickets and India biggest Match winner)and then the number Test Team in the world.
Who knows had they given MOM to Amit,it would surely ment that he had to play in Kotla .
Probably this match would do a world of good to Amit and he probably might need to be called again when Anil calls Quits sooner or later.
