Sri Lanka game for charity match

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has offered to field a full-strength team against an Indian side in a charity match to raise money for the victims of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai. The idea was proposed by Arjuna Ranatunga, the former Sri Lanka captain and SLC chairman, to Sharad Pawar, the former BCCI president and to-be ICC president.

"I have spoken to Pawar and have offered our unconditional support to the BCCI. The SLC condemns the terror attacks. We are ready to a play a charity match in aid of all those who have been affected", Ranatunga told PTI. "We are ready to send a full-strength team for the purpose. The SLC wants to help in their own humble way."
